Theatre Arts 3200

Theatre Arts 3200 builds on skills developed in Theatre Arts 2200. Students will be expected to participate in a minimum of three scene studies. One of these must be a period piece. Students taking this course will be required to specialize in some of these areas: directing, play writing, improvisation for classroom teaching, children’s theatre, play criticism, auditioning, political satire, community/historical plays, clowning, monologuing, etc. The bulk of the evaluation will be based on in-class activities. Co-operation, dependability, demonstration of a serious purpose, and having a positive attitude are very important.
